Quorum is run by Swiss Alpine Escapes SA, Rue de l’Eglise 2a, 1270 Trelex, Switzerland. We are the controller of the data described here.

What we store

Playing the game does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name or email address. When you finish a board we store:

Your streak and your progress on today’s board are kept in your browser’s local storage and are never sent to us.

Why

To run the leaderboard, to show where your run placed, and to stop people submitting scores they did not actually achieve. We rely on legitimate interest in operating the game. We do not profile you, show you advertising, or sell anything to anyone.

Where it goes

The site is hosted by Vercel and the database is Supabase, running in Frankfurt, Germany. Those are our only processors.

We use Vercel’s own analytics to count page views, see which pages are slow, and count how many people get from one step of the game to the next — how many start a board, finish one, or share a result. The only detail recorded alongside a step is the board number, which is the same for everyone playing that day. It sets no cookies, assigns you no identifier, and cannot follow you to any other site; we only ever see totals, never individuals. There is no advertising here and no third-party tracker of any kind.

How long

Run records are kept while the leaderboard for that board is meaningful, and no longer than 24 months.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data or have it deleted. Because the record is pseudonymous, we need the identifier to find it: it is shown at the bottom of the how-to-play panel, or you can clear it yourself at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which permanently disconnects you from past runs. Write to privacy@quorum.day. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your data protection authority; in Switzerland, to the FDPIC.
